Transition jumps for joy in recieving funds to help develop community edible garden!

If you have not visited our community edible garden then now is the perfect time. Thanks to the support of Ian Harvey and Tidy Towns we have just revcieved a grant of £300 to help develop the garden.

So with phase one complete and the money in place we can now move onto phase two i.e the fun stuff. We now plan to buy plants and willow to fill the garden with lots of tasty perenials inc herbs, veg and fruit. We also plan to host a willow workshop which will focus on making some great living willow structures around our seating area.

Thanks to all those that have supported us so far in helping to make a start to what we hope will be a great example of a trully sustainable edible garden for all to learn from, and of course feast on.

So don your wellies, grab your gardening gloves and maybe some homemade cake and join us on our next volunteer action day!

Our next volunteer action day will be on Sunday the 20th of November and more details will follow on the specifics of the day.
